Meeting Rewind.... Our last meeting, was Wednesday May 21st 2008. We had an unexpected last minute room change from our normal location: Broward Community College - Central Campus, Davie *Bldg 19 (cafe) Room 111, to the Dental Hygiene building 8 conference room. This should be our new meeting spot.
The topic, Forensic Dentistry and bite mark identification , given by our very own Rhoda Kublickis and her classmate Lori Allen. Both of the speakers are Registered Dental Hygienists and are working on completing their capstone for their BASDH from St. Petersburg College.
The topic of forensic dentistry and bite mark identification was a new and exciting topic for the BCDHA. It allowed insight to an alternative career path for us, as well as identifying the need for volunteers, especially in disaster recovery.
Dr. Barbara Needell was on hand to help answer questions as well. Dr Needell is the "top doc" involved in our FEMORS forensic dentistry team.
This meeting was sponsored and everybody recieved a free bite ruler!!
